Pros
Provides a good stepping stone for industry and position experience for those who have no leasing or management experience. Easy to get responses from those working in corporate when calling or sending emails. The co-president is highly invested in the issues occurring at the community and does back employees in most suggested decisions.
Cons
Highly micromanaging company. While it's a good step into getting industry, all steps must be cleared with regional managers before acting, such as sending basic lease violations. This leaves employees questioning their capability to do jobs on their own. Low bonus structure. While the salary/hourly pay may be higher, the shortage of potential bonuses leaves the earning potential lower than many companies. No training structure. A binder is provided with a break down of their policies and those new to the industry are expected to read policies and fully understand their roles within a short period of time. Training has often been confusing during online training sessions and not always correctly updated to reflect updated policies. Little guidance is often given from upper management. Often the phrase "did you read the policy" is heard when a question is asked.
