Pros

Great place to work if you want a quick job where you can get experience quickly. You’ll have a pretty quick learning period and will start working with clients maybe 6ish months after hiring. There are tons of support and benefits for working at WebFX, such as responsive management and excellent mental health resources. Management is also very flexible in case you have emergencies or issues come up.

Cons

If you’re not careful, you WILL be burnt out after working here. Your workload is intense and there are several coworkers I used to work with that would often pull 12 hour days just to get their work done (the job is salaried, so you don’t get any extra benefit for this. Work-life balance is terrible because you’re expected to do your training and progression off the clock and on your own time. Also, WebFX discourages getting additional education or certifications in favor of their in-house certifications, while this may seem great, what it really does is make you less marketable in the job market for future prospects. I also have personal gripes with management because I had several clients cancel due to reasons outside of my control (poor management, inability to keep up with the deliverables I’ve sent, etc.), but I was internally reprimanded and put onto a Personal Improvement Plan for this. I’m still not entirely sure what they expected me to do to avoid these cancelations. WebFX is also a work environment where you NEED to be part of the “in crowd” to get any sort of benefit or recognition. You will have a VERY different work experience if you’re not in the good graces of the right people. You’re expected to go to parties and events that they hold, some people have been fired because they didn’t attend these events during their probationary period.

Pros

Not going to sugarcoat it - the work is hard and the expectations are real. But the flip side is you actually learn things and move up if you perform. I went from jr to sr in a reasonable timeframe because the progression path is transparent and based on merit. FXLearns certifications, ongoing training, solid coaching. The office perks are a cherry on top - snacks, coffee, gym, standing desks. The StemFX scholarship program and charity initiatives make you feel like the work matters beyond revenue.

Cons

The pace is fast and you can fall behind if you don't focus. There's a lot of change - new tools, new processes, new initiatives rolling out constantly. Adapting is part of the job. I'd also say client work can be draining depending on who you're working with. Some clients are great, others... less so.
