Cons
No physical office and no stipend to pay for co-working spaces even if that's the environment you need to be productive (I pay $250/mo in order to be an effective employee). Very little employee appreciation. They ask salaried home office employees to "give back" by volunteering to work in stores stocking shelves, greeting, etc. Essentially, they need extra hands but don't want to pay for the labor. No holidays - want Thanksgiving off? Better put in your PTO!! Sure we have "unlimited" PTO but when half or more of your does not celebrate American holidays it can feel uncomfortable to ask for several days off when others on your team are working during the holidays. Not competitive salary-wise. Lots of management, very limited software and ux resources. When a team member leaves Walmart, don't expect a backfill for that roll for at least 8 month, or ever. We have had openings for some positions on my team for over a year.
