Pros

Decent PTO accrual IF you’re an employee for longer than a year

Cons

Where do I start? -Constantly understaffed, and Walgreens doesn’t pay well so you get people with little to no experience, or people that don’t care enough to work, so it’s a constant cycle of new techs in and out -Budget cuts -Unrealistic expectations as far as what all needs to be done on a daily basis -Corporate seems to think this is a sales job, constantly forcing employees to “sell” donations, surveys, vaccinations, etc and write ups if they catch you not doing this regularly -Verbal harassment from customers for things that are beyond your control -No raises for senior techs. They claim that raises are available, but I wasn’t certified when I was hired. All techs received a market raise, then there’s a $1 for becoming certified, then another $1 raise to become Sr. Tech. i took the PTCB and got the $1, however I was at 15.50 before my Sr. Tech promo so they claimed I had already hit max pay for techs, therefore all I got was additional responsibilities but no raise -No career growth unless you want to stay in retail

Pros

Work with your schedule if you are in school.

Cons

Low pay. I need to be able to multitask, run the cash register, and operate the Photo Booth lab at a fast pace.

Pros

Can be a fun environment. All in whom your staff is. Operating photo was fun and building projects for the customers. Learning about pharmacy operations.

Cons

Work life balance and low pay for what is expected. Not having enough payroll to effectively run a store. My store ran FE on a 320 hour a week budget. That was barely enough to get buy and meet the expectations put out by the company. I was never able to keep a full leadership staff. When a leader called out, I had to stay. There were days I was called away from my own dinner table. SM's were forced to be in the pharmacy for more than half of their day regardless as to what is happening in the FE. I worked over 50 hours a week and barely got to spend time with my family. If I wasn't at the store I was getting a phone call and having to go back to the store.
