Pros

IF and only IF you have a good store your paycheck will be good. Management team is ok unless you get stuck with a crappy district. My district manager is awesome by the way. You always know when youre off. Direct Deposit. You can see your paychecks a day before you are paid. Promotions come quickly and unexpectedly.

Cons

Rotation is 6 days on 2 days off. Average workday is 630-330 including bank deposit if there is a meeting that will be from 4-530 and you may have to do drawer change at 830. Some days you have to do all 3. Drawer change is required every fri and sat that you work so dont plan anything unless you are off. If its the holiday plan on working very hard and working a rotation of 6 days on 1 day off. You are also going to have to come back 4-5 days out the week depending on what day the holiday falls on. If it floods you are working, if there is a hurricane get to work, if there is a tornado you better not be late.

Pros

Solid pay for the industry Okay benefits Employee stock purchase plan Pretty consistent hours The actual work is difficult, but fun after you get good at it. Upward momentum is difficult, but the pay scales very well if you work your way up into management. Prepare for intense work if you do though.

Cons

They hire everyone, and your team will make or break your experience. Genuine safety concerns on 3rd shift. You need to be prepared for people to act out. Senior management only have operation management skills. They are not good "people" managers at all. Only "number" managers.
