Pros
Decent money if you give up your entire life. Flexible with where you work from when you're on-call 24/7/365. Many wonderful but overworked, caring people doing the actual work.
Cons
I worked harder than any one person ever should. My client relationships were what kept me there. Loved them - So much so that I sacrificed my health and well-being for a decent product due to lack of support. Picture our network being down at 2am and my sitting on the street in downtown Chicago near a FedEx location to get wifi to download and finish a project that needed to be in court the next morning. Not a single manager answered their phones to help me. Just one of many examples.
