Pros
I'll preface this with saying it depends on your team. But in mine -
* Great work/life balance
*Friendly people
*Good boss
*Local
*Flexibility around WFH
Cons
*Training is bad. No real programme around this, people forget to tell you little things which end up causing issues down the track.
*Boring, repetitive work
*Staff in the general place can be quite rude/snarky and none of this gets dealt with really (although most are nice enough)
*Not very clean - cleaners seem to do absolute basics
*PCs are often slow (for a polytech, this is strange)
*Some staff are very stuck in their ways and won't listen to ideas for improvements
*Cafeteria is very expensive with most food being very average
*There is little money to be spent on campuses/staff/students
*You don't get paid overtime. You get time in lieu. Be careful that you have a boss that honours this.
