Pros

Being part of Virserius Studio has been both inspiring and incredibly fulfilling. From day one, I felt welcomed, challenged, and truly valued. The environment here is fast-paced and creatively rich, with a strong sense of purpose behind every project we take on. The leadership—driven by the Owner and the Studio Director—is both visionary and approachable. They set high expectations, but they also provide the support and freedom needed to grow. There's a genuine trust in the team, and that trust fuels some of the most exciting and innovative design work I’ve ever been a part of. What I love most is the collaborative spirit. Ideas are shared openly, and everyone’s voice matters—no matter your title or experience. The projects are global and diverse, which keeps the work dynamic and deeply rewarding. It's not just about making things look beautiful; it's about creating meaningful, guest-centered experiences through design. Virserius Studio is the kind of place where you grow not just as a designer, but as a thinker, a collaborator, and a storyteller. I’m proud to be part of this team. --- Would you like a version that’s a bit more casual or something formatted for Glassdoor or LinkedIn?

Cons

Working at Virserius Studio can be fast-paced, especially during key project milestones, and the standards are high—which naturally comes with the level of work the studio delivers. The global scope of the projects sometimes means adjusting to different time zones or tighter deadlines. The structure can feel flexible and ever-evolving, so being proactive and adaptable is important. That said, the challenges are matched by incredible opportunities to learn, grow, and be part of something truly creative and meaningful.

Pros

A wonderful and creative team, Virserius Studio has the potential to be an amazing place for someone who is willing to live and breathe design. The studio is small and you get a chance to be exposed to all stages of the design process - an exciting and valuable learning experience for lots of young and eager designers. You get to flex your creative muscles and be enveloped in the designs from concept to install. If you can handle a little heat, you will enjoy it - there is a lot of opportunity to grow as a designer if you can brush off any nasty comments and focus on improving and showing some willingness to learn.

Cons

Unfortunately, the boss tends to pick on her employees, often singling one person out specifically during meetings, and it ends up driving those talented people away and causing a lot of turn around. The pay is not great because young designers rely on the experience more than anything else and the location next to the colleges is definitely taken advantage of. There is little work-life balance. (This, however, will be a constant no matter what design firm you are in, that's just the way it is in our industry) But for those of us who are a little older and with families, it is important to have that. Late hours is an understatement here. And the boss, unfortunately, leans towards burning bridges rather than maintaining good professional relationships. Expect to be asked to do things that are not in your job description and then be blamed for any mistakes that might arise afterwards. It's unfortunate because I adored this company and their design vision, it breaks my heart but it is truthful nonetheless.
