Pros

A very SELECT number of employees here are truly fantastic. This is genuinely the only pro. Unfortunately, the best employees are treated the worst.

Cons

Overworked and underpaid is an understatement. You are treated very poorly if you're not okay with being accessible 24/7 and your time is not respected - including holidays and vacation. There is no HR here -- the same people who cause the most problems in this office are the people that are supposed to be "HR". They are also the people who directly control your paycheck so...take that as you will. The turnover rate is near 45% in a 16 month time period. Management recognizes this issue but does not bother to resolve it as all the voices advocating for change are drowned out by bullies. You will likely be publicly mocked and teased at this company. Degraded for the choices you make in your work and personal life. Several stories that I shared with my family and friends concerned or disgusted them. Employee satisfaction here is very low. Your ideas of innovation and change will be mocked and countered with a stubborn rebuttal; you will be trapped in the old ways with very little room to move or provide any true lasting positive impact.

Pros

I started at the company as an intern in the sales department and worked my way up through various positions until I found my place in finance. It’s a fantastic company with lots of room for growth. There is never a shortage of things to do and every day brings new opportunities and tasks. You will not be bored sitting at a desk all day. Victory provides you will opportunities of learning and developing skills outside of your area of expertise. Employees are encouraged to attend concerts and to listen to music. Although the office has a laid back atmosphere, everyone take their jobs seriously and had immense passion for the work they are creating.

Cons

The job may require long hours, but it’s worth it for the sense of accomplishment when a new record comes out or a new band breaks.l

Pros

I was an intern and really liked and respected the department heads. Although I primarily worked for the director of promotions, the other directors frequently asked for my help and gave great feedback. If I were to work there full time, I saw plenty of opportunities for individuals to make large contributions to the company.

Cons

Everyone seems to be working in fear of their boss. I never worked in environment where people were SO stressed about what negative feedback they might get. Everyone also seemed to be way overworked. Although the owner may only see hiring more employees as more expenses, he would get way more productivity out of his employees if they had a lessened work load. Oh, and the most obvious negative is the horrible bands they keep signing. When I was there, I heard employees listening to so many great bands that should have been signed, but again, the final decision was in the hands of the owner, which resulted in some awful bands being signed while I was there.
