Pros

Dynamic office environment, great pay and benefits, minimal employee turnover. VIcom is a market leader in Virginia in the AV and IT industries, with a high growth rate and sharp visionaries in management. Very experienced management, all with over 10 years at the company, and excellent hands-on leadership. Benefits include an Employee Stock Option Plan, that has been a big reason for retention, we are all owners of the company and are made to feel that way! The accrued $$$ from the ESOP plan has been very good, employees eagerly look forward to the yearly statement. Lavish company events, a beautiful office and great corporate culture. It's as much as a family as company

Cons

Some employees have become accustomed to all the perks and sometimes coast, some also forget this is a full time job. Sometimes a little too much noise and horseplay during work hours.

Pros

Good training. Good commissions for sales. ESOP so when it eventually gets sold you'll get a good payout. Hybrid work options. Good work parties. Great health benefits.

Cons

Extremely top down decision making. Disregard for employee health and well being. Failure to properly disclose leaked personal information from a cyber attack. Very corporate feeling despite being less than 100 employees. Employee feedback isn't taken seriously. Spent millions of office renovations and complained about profit margins, then tightened the noose. Many times had to cite the FLSA because of malpractice. Petty responses to issues being brought up. Disregard for work life balance. Underpays. Litigates against employees that've left the company. Shady tactics behind closed doors towards customers. Has many times attempted to force injured employees to work to get out of workers compensation claims.
