Pros
Good people at lower levels of the company, my heart breaks for the ones who thought their hard work would pay off for them.
Cons
The boys club and lack of diversity is clearly stated in various other reviews so I will save you time there. I came to Vevo shortly after what I was told was a massive layoff period and the company was trying to "establish a new identity". Shortly after I arrived it became clear to me this is nothing more than a shell company for the record labels run by undeserving sycophants with little talent beyond schmoozing. This trickles down to the mid-level staff who've been there for several years, I assume they believe this will help them get ahead. The head of our department was treated like a king because "he's been here from the beginning", other employees are hired because their parent might be a music industry big wig and we'd all have to clean up their messes day in and day out. The worst was when I found out the open secret that one high up employee (VP level) gives contract work to a company HE IS A PARTNER IN (that can't be legal) but nobody cared! I swear this has to be a money laundering scheme for the music industry. I worked with the most untalented and unqualified people in positions of power, while those reporting to them made the hard calls and did the work only to get laid off in another "restructure".
