Pros

Benefits, employee pet discounts, pay

Cons

Declawing, tail docking, and ear cropping is all allowed. Owners are able to bring in a young animal to euthanize without a QOL exam.

As a support organization, we remain deeply committed to advocating for the health, safety, and well-being of cats and all animals. Vetcor opposes elective declawing and any surgical procedure not deemed medically necessary. Our clinical guidance, led by our Veterinary Leadership Team, will always stay ahead of industry best practices and champion the gold standard of care. Thank you again for your honest feedback and for your dedication to veterinary care and animal well-being.

Pros

Allows a decent amount of freedom/flexibility for clinics without seeming overbearing. Decent support network for resources the clinic needs.

Cons

The pay, it's always going to be the pay for our field.

Pros

There is not much anymore.

Cons

Updated job descriptions for management are unrealistic. The limits on the care we give our customers, like prohibiting a call a local pharmacy like Walgreens or CVS is ridiculous. You also want your HMs & COS to do their jobs, not delegate as much and work shifts on the floor 3-4 days and attend all the calls during the week. If you miss deadlines, you will be put on a list (seriously?). Compensation does not match the job demands. You will not feel appreciated or seen by anyone above you at all, ever.

Thank you for taking the time to share such a candid and detailed review. First and foremost, we want to acknowledge and thank you for your many years of service. Tenured leaders like you are vital to our team, and it is difficult to hear that your views about Vetcor have changed recently. We recognize that the veterinary industry is changing rapidly, and with that comes shifts in operational expectations. We take your "Advice to Management" seriously; medical autonomy has always been important to us. We don't want our teams feeling like they are under a microscope. We want them to feel empowered. We would love to continue this conversation with you on a more personal level and encourage you to reach out to your RM to discuss these concerns further.
