Pros

Benefit package is top best, haven't seen anything comparable Tuition assistance is best around access to all kinds of technologies and tools for learning and personal development work relations are good, not too overboard but OK

Cons

very unstable job security, reorgs every other month, lots of RIFs all year round Very limited growth opportunities, you can get all the personal experience and learning you want but you will just progress up to certain level, above levels are reserved for club members only completely nonexistent balance of work and personal life, it is expected from you to answer phones 24/7 all 365 even on vacations, with no extra compensation as 'it is expected' all your work relation with the corporate is thru your superior, HR doesn't exist to deal with employees or mediate, or even give you an exit interview. lots of stress and over pressure for little things if they are 'in the radar' of some executive, lack of perspective on what is really important for the business and more on what is important for your boss career and no, no promotion if you don't belong to the club.

Pros

Compensation is competitive but you will work very hard for it. Culture is excellent and exhibited and practiced from the top down. Benefits are excellent and cost reasonable. 401k match and profit sharing. Lots of training and professional development opportunities. Can advance if you're willing to relocate.

Cons

Company is trying to transform into what it wants to be beyond a wireless carrier (cloud?, security?, telematics?, wholesaler?, etc) and is struggling with a vision, resources, and org structure to make it a reality. Several re-organizations over last few years so job security has frequently been a question. Often delayed response to competitors caused by management's concern that acting would result in not meeting Wall Street expectations. Not the "happiest" place to work because no result is ever good enough and successes aren't celebrated because the focus is always on the next weekly/monthly/quarterly goal.
