Pros

- You get some experience - WFH flexibility is good - Intelligent coworkers in the field - Lower and middle management is good and doing their best to keep employees from fleeing

Cons

- Pay and benefits are not competitive. - If you have a GREAT yearly review the max raise per my manager is 2-3% and that's if the company hits revenue goal. A 2-3% raise is below average for this industry and barely keeps up with inflation. The average inflation for the past 10 years is 2.6%. Normal raise: 2-3% Good raise: 4-7% Big raise: 8%+ - Terrible PTO; awful benefit package - Vaccine mandate for all employees - High turnover - The man in NYC doesn't care about the culture instead wants to continue acquiring more companies without uniting/fixing the one he oversees - Lack of team blending/building - Internal postings are not shared from HR so very little opportunity to be promoted within

Pros

Offers flexible work schedules and the in-house Verista colleagues are generally kind and helpful. Health Insurance is decent. The company is trying to be proactive in cultivating career development within the organization to stem attrition. Salary is competitive among consulting companies.

Cons

PTO and 401k are subpar, the latter has a long vesting schedule. Constant travel to client sites gets old and so does adjusting to new chaos at client partners (but that's just the nature of consulting). Career development is still lacking and it makes sense to leave once you've reached your role's shelf life.
