Pros

Vercel offers competitive compensation that consistently stands out as one of the strongest aspects of working here. The team is made up of high-caliber people who genuinely care about the work and each other, making for a collaborative and intellectually stimulating environment where you're given real ownership and autonomy. Vercel is on an exciting growth trajectory; the company is scaling fast with significant valuation growth and is on a path toward going public, making it a compelling place to be if you want to grow alongside a company and share in its success.

Cons

Like any high-growth company, there are still some areas being built out. Interviewer enablement and structured interview training are not yet fully in place, which can make the hiring process feel inconsistent at times. The employer brand is still developing, particularly on the G&A side, which can make it challenging to attract and convert top passive talent who aren't yet familiar with the company. Additionally, leadership is heavily focused on building an in-office culture, primarily centered around San Francisco, which while great for culture-building, does narrow the talent pool.

Pros

Before this year, the current Vercel company culture was to move fast and teams were accomplishing great things together. The LFG era was the prime time to work at Vercel, it felt like a blessing to work at Vercel. Now Vercel leadership wants to operate like a Google or Stripe, any previous success came from operating like a series B company. The change to a Stripe culture was too fast for anyone to be efficient, 100% change over the course of 1 quarter has led to the sad state of Vercel.

Cons

The new culture is forcing performative corporate speak on employees. The success of Vercel came from being overtly authentic. Most employees are being overworked and underpaid with layoffs and segment changes. This has led to widespread apathy for caring about an impossible positive outcome. I’ve never seen this much widespread hopelessness
