Pros

Varick is the kind of place where your voice is heard, and your work will have a very real impact. You can learn a LOT about the industry and grow a variety of skills. Every manager I've had has urged me to think about a long term career goals, helped me to find ways to grow, and pushed me to work on projects outside of the standard scope of job requirements that a similar role at another company would never have the chance to be a part of. This means that the more engaged and driven you are, the more you get out of working here. The culture is amazing -- everyone is so smart and passionate, good work/life balance, fun out of office activities, management is very approachable and understanding, you can literally walk right up to the President and give him any kind of feedback.

Cons

May not be the best environment for people who only want to fill out a time sheet and get out of work. People who are driven, curious, determined are the ones who love working here and have quickly climbed the corporate ladder.

Pros

They will probably pay you

Cons

There is somehow a lot to say about Varick and not a lot to say… all in all it’s a difficult place to work and not the fun kind of “challenge” you might want in a career. TBH there are plenty of other places you can work that won’t induce this level of unnecessary stress. - Leadership seems truly confounded on how to create a stable workplace. Some of the most clueless and self-centered people I've ever met. - Employees are given a heavy workload with little training to begin with, and even less support down the road - There is a major disconnect between what our clients expect and what we can deliver, which translates into unrealistic asks from management, giving employees a sense that they are unsuccessful despite doing their best
