Pros

- Public Cloud, Cybersecurity - two great neighbourhoods - Solid platform - engineering team is extremely capable and responsive - Strong focus on post-sales experience and customer responsiveness - Awareness of burn-out through pandemic - leadership team implemented monthly mental health days off - Genuinely good people.. although I've left the company to pursue personal growth opportunities, Valtix was extremely gracious through my departure. I believe it's important in how companies treat employees both ingress and egress

Cons

- It's a startup. Startups are hard but not as hard as it was last year or the year before. Having thrilled customers now helps immensely

Pros

Working on the problems that are critical. Attackers are disrupting core technology infrastructure and critical applications. Valtix is helping customers protect their public cloud (IaaS, PaaS in AWS, Azure, GCP) applications within minutes, rather than weeks or months. The service is focussed on network security today and has potential to expand into new areas. Customers are now trusting us to protect their critical assets and Gartner recognized us as a Cool Vendor for 2021. Good validation! Open non-political culture, no unnecessary hierarchies, new ideas from any source are welcomed. Engineering team with great depth. Willingness to be honest on the things that are working well and what's not working well. Executive team continuously finding ways to help the employees find balance in the COVID world: frequent town halls, monthly mental health day, non-video Zoom Fridays... all help.

Cons

Typical things that happen in a startup: refining product-market fit brings changes in product direction and company strategy: usual back-n-forth to balance speed of execution and not creating too much technical debt. A startup requires a serious amount of give from everyone and it takes a certain type of individual to persevere through the ups and downs, and willingness to take on new tasks that one has never dealt with before.
