      It is a job, that's all I got.

      Cons

      I was lied to about the benefits by the recruiter. When I went to management after I started and found out the truth I was told it was my responsibility to ask more questions in my interviews. As if I should have known they hired liars or didn't train the people they sent looking for people. No 401K match. 10 days of PTO - that is for bereavement, vacation, sick. If you leave and haven't used it, they don't pay you out for the benefit you earned. It doesn't roll over. No advancement paths. Management doesn't care about employees. You are nothing but a cog...do the job and don't question or ask for anything more.

      Jeff Kim was persistent and genuine. Kept me in mind across multiple searches until the right role landed. No pressure, no ghosting, just consistent follow-through.

      Cons

      Staffing agencies inherently have limited control over placement timelines. Sometimes the wait between contacts is longer than you'd like.

      Pros

      Vaco placed me in an IT Governance/Architecture contract role at $xxx/hour and was hands-on throughout the entire process. They guided me through every stage of the interview, provided great prep, and kept communication tight. If you’re a senior tech professional looking for high-value contract placements, I’d highly recommend working with them. They’re responsive, professional, and clearly invested in your success — not just filling a seat.
