Pros
Finding employment for those individuals who truly needed and desired it. Seeing them succeed and happy is so worth the struggle and problems from EVERYONE but the client!
Cons
Minimal pay for maximum work. Was told they would not accommodate my restricted duties related to high risk pregnancy (pretty sure that's ILLEGAL) falsified workmen's comp forms. Made you transport sex offenders who were 10 times my size in my personal vehicle. Traveled over 100 miles each day so I could be yelled at by clients unwilling to work or transporting them to meetings I wasn't even able to sit in on because of the convenience. Hardly reimbursed for mileage. I put 19,000 on my brand new car (11 miles off the lot) in just 8 months. I got written up for a policy I was never made aware of. Did not have access to case files. Was expected to cover 5 part time shifts to supervise clients in addition to my caseload of 10 other people. Children. And a pregnancy. And a part time job. They had the audacity to tell me to get a better babysitter so that I could work 60+ hours a week while 8 months pregnant. Inconsistent schedules and supervisors. Never any coverage.
