Pros
Some colleagues are genuinely dedicated to their work. Opportunity to make a difference in patients' lives.
Cons
Management Incompetence: The management at Vitas is utterly disorganized and lacks the necessary skills to lead effectively. Decisions are often made without any regard for the employees or the impact on patient care. Lack of Support: As a multimedia producer, I found that there was zero support for creative and innovative ideas. The leadership is resistant to change and unwilling to invest in the necessary tools and resources. Poor Communication: Communication within the company is abysmal. Important updates and changes are poorly communicated, leading to confusion and frustration among the staff. Toxic Work Environment: The workplace culture is toxic, with a pervasive lack of respect and appreciation for employees. Upper management fosters a culture of fear and intimidation rather than one of support and encouragement. Overworked and Underpaid: The workload is overwhelming, and the compensation does not match the effort and hours put in. There is little to no work-life balance, with constant pressure to meet unrealistic expectations. Lack of Growth Opportunities: There are very few opportunities for professional development or advancement within the company. The focus is on maintaining the status quo rather than encouraging growth and improvement. Unrealistic Expectations: The demands placed on employees are often unreasonable and unattainable, leading to burnout and high turnover rates.
