Pros

Decent pay, decent benefits. For the most part, there are amazing coworkers. Flexible time off when it came to COVID leave.

Cons

Get ready to buckle your seatbelts, kids. First off, the manager quite literally breathes down your neck as she sighs heavily, hands behind her back, snooping on what you are doing. Are you trying to boost morale, and sharing some light jokes with co-workers or sending GIF's through Microsoft Teams (That they specifically set up for us to chat to one another) well guess what, you're not allowed to have ANY fun or morale. She will literally hand you something to do. Manager will give in to insanely rude clients who scream, curse and berade you with rudeness by giving them what they want, a free exam, etc, then tell you "Well, they were nice to me?" and then hand you papers to sign about how to be nicer to clients. Sick? Better get a doctors note quick, because any inconvenience, even being incredibly sick will get another sigh out of her. You are made to feel as if you dont' really matter. You're not really appreciated. Your skills and drive are not cared for AT ALL. You will be stuck ina position that you hate, and not allowed to move up, while LIARS AND LAZY COWORKERS get things and never get into real trouble. Do not apply here. It was a waste of my years.

Pros

This company offers many opportunities for doctors and techs to grow in their careers. They provide tons of support and they've been making HUGE changes to veterinary medicine on a whole. I have never known another company to offer so many benefits and perks for staff (especially techs), and they're even making lots of effort to invest in the veterinary receptionists-the front line associates of the hospital. They're also making great strides to acknowledge some of the feedback we've had for many years. They're savvy and smart, making business decisions that build on a company that will be around a long time (and has.)

Cons

There have been times where transparency and communication are lacking, and sometimes to the point where hospital-level employees feel left out or unheard. Some bigger topics like onboarding and navigating what support comes from where could be more clear. It feels like they've been fusing on new concepts/policies/features to the company, making it feel like a clunky machine rather than building something new and streamlined. Maybe it's in the works, but how do we know down here?
