Good pay and set time. Four to six intensive weeks as an instructor with lots of flexibility in the curriculum. Great team, and fast paced environment.
Cons
High expectations and lots of grading and office hours outside of the designated class time. Be mindful of burn out because the pacing is 100mph the entire duration of the job. Get ready to work! But the students make the reward worth it.
You get to feel as though you are part of the greater community by working with these teens. Most students are witty, fun, and ready to learn. It was always a joy to help them with the homework, college applications, and overall life lessons.
Cons
Some students may be a little more of a challenge, making you work much harder to get them to make simple things. You'll have to practice your patience and creative problem solving.
