Pros

The founder is a good leader, he leads by example, he tries to treat everyone fairly and always motivates and encourages the team. He quickly recognises effort in the team, and also calls out mistakes when he sees it. The management team is quite senior for a young start up. There is open communication in the team. The business model is also very sound for a startup, it's high revenue generating. The team is dedicated, united and passionate. There's a friday session every week where the managers take turn to stand in front of the team to update the company. Anyone can ask questions and we feel that we are respected in the team. The company cares a lot for the students too. There's a focus on quality starting from the founder all the way down to student affairs officers. Everybody on the team strives to give the best education experience to the students.

Cons

If I have to nitpick, it can be quite stressful because the team moves very quickly. There are still many junior members in the team who cannot catch up with the speed.

Pros

- Awesome colleagues, people at UpCode Academy really know how to have fun and it’s great working with the team who knows how to play hard, work hard. - Young and vibrant working environment, most of us are in our 20s and if you are looking for a job that gives a good transition between school and work, this is it! - We are given lots of freedom to learn, the company doesn’t limit your job scope, if you are willing to learn, put in the extra effort and time, you can pick up many things during your stay in UpCode. - UpCode is a company which cares for the student’s future, your contributions will definitely be meaningful.

Cons

- No Medical Benefits yet, hopefully in the future. - Loss of flat hierarchy, not as small as you think a startup would be. - little guidance given, since UpCode is a startup, there are many things we need to pick up on our own because not only do we have limited resources, people have limited time to teach you everything you need to know.
