Pros

The students can be interesting and fun to help

Cons

I absolutely cannot overstate how horrendous this company is. I worked for them for 5 years and the last year was easily one of the worst times of my life. They had a massive restructure in early 2022 and I should have jumped ship like 70% of all employees did, but I was naive and stayed on as they had treated me well prior to this. I used to work in Edinburgh and everyone there was great. When the new structure came in, all the management in Edinburgh left, which should have made me realise what was to come. I worked in Glasgow for a year and a half and it was good at first, but then once the changes began it went from bad to worse. I was lied to, overworked, given a promotion with responsabilities that were completely unrealistic for one person to have and suffered a mental breakdown because of it. Once they saw weakness, they took every opportunity to discriminate against me due to mental ill health and take advantage of my vulnerable state. Management treated me like I was a thorn in their side, and were careful to never put anything in writing so when I made a formal grievance and raised it through ACAS they dragged it out as long as legally possible and I eventually gave up. Just... Don't work for them. They don't care about you, they don't care about the students, they don't care about the buildings, and they don't care what havoc they wreak. Truly vile people.
