Pros

This role is fully remote and has competitive pay. Underdog is on a positive trajectory in the industry, which makes this an exciting place to work. It is one of the few places that I have worked where everyone wants to contribute to the success of the company.

Cons

The hours can be a little strange. Some things lack clarity but if you ask, you will generally get an answer.

Very high paced, high agency environment. Intense, but with really good people. High growth and expanding into completely new business lines and industries

Pros

Fast-paced environment that offers employees a lot of ownership, and the opportunity to leverage all of the newest AI tools. It's really awesome to have the freedom to learn how to use these tools in an age where AI is moving so quickly. Add to it, a great sports culture - whether it be chatting about that weeks games, or attending games at company offsites, it's a unique opportunity to work at a sports company. Most people are really kind, and there are a lot of smart leaders across the org that do an excellent job of coaching by giving you a sense for what the end goal is, and gives you the freedom to figure out how to solve the problem(s).

Cons

Moving fast means processes are still being built out in real time. If you need a lot of structure or defined playbooks, you'll have to help create them. Similarly, roles can shift as the company evolves. You need to be comfortable with change and figuring things out without a lot of hand-holding. Lastly, with teams spread across time zones, async communication is a must. Not for everyone if you prefer tight in-person collaboration. It can also be a bit isolating the first few weeks of onboarding when you don't know anybody, but everyone is really welcoming and a month or two you'll feel well integrated.
