Personalities were frequently obstacles to my work (I eventually figured out that my supervisor had stepped on a lot of toes and therefor when I named dropped, many folks clammed up on working with me). HR was surprisingly unhelpful on any issue I brought up with them (payroll, access to systems, institution policies). While the research infrastructure was robust, it was heavily used and therefore constantly busy.
