Pros

This is a training program to help in a career shift/degree shift into Information Technology. After the successful completion of the training you are a contractor working for a major company. In my case the company we were partnered with was very engaged and invested in our success. If you come into it with the mindset of learning a useful set of skills and the ultimate goal of working with a company where there is growth potential it is worth the time and effort. The contract (in this case, but I believe may be standard) the company has an option to hire after 1 year as a contractor. Benefits at the completion of training are pretty good.

Cons

The HR on-boarding process was extremely confusing and handled remotely by different personnel asking for the same information repeatedly. Compensation in training is quite low, so low I imagine it will scare off some coming from a more established career. You don't get an option as to what skills (ie languages) you learn in training, this is to fill a company need so they decide.

Pros

I have been associated with UST for almost 12 years, starting my journey as a Tester and currently serving as a Senior Project Manager. Looking back, the growth opportunities provided by the organization have been remarkable. One of the biggest strengths of UST is its people-first culture. The leadership team is approachable, supportive, and genuinely invested in employee success. Throughout my career, I have received continuous encouragement to take on new responsibilities, learn new skills, and move into leadership roles. The company places significant emphasis on employee well-being, work-life balance, and professional development. I have had opportunities to work across different domains, engage with global clients, and grow both technically and managerially. What makes UST special is the trust it places in its employees and the collaborative culture that exists across teams. It’s a place where dedication and performance are recognized, and individuals are given opportunities to shape their own career paths

Cons

As with any large organization, some processes could be streamlined for faster decision-making.
