Pros
Loved my experience in the service--like all things, it's what you make of it. Try hard, learn a lot, and seize every opportunity. It will pay off in dividends when it comes time to apply for civilian jobs.
Cons
Of course, there are some sacrifices, like being away from family and movingfrequently. If you can tolerate that for at least one contract, it will be worth it.
