Pros

Started out as an iconic brand which could have hand a great future. Used to be good creative and journalistic opportrunities. Was groundbreaking once, and ahead of it's time. Great place if you only care about numbers If you're buddies with senior management, you'll get a promotion. When financially suported and not restricted by sales, we were able to make really great content. Great co-workers, most of the time (not including snr mgmt)

Cons

Too many to list... the biggest issue and the one which led to the companies demise was promoting and hiring based on friendhsips as opposed to merit. Other issues are the constant lies, particularly about opportunities and progression, the lack of communication with staff (in day-to-day working, but even down to the fact that most of the staff found out about the possible liquidation of the company through news outlets, with no previous details/information whatsoever), no financial stability at all, completely restricted by advertising due to sales making agreements with other companies that could not be kept, without discussing it with journalists/content creators first, TERRIBLE time management (I mean really bad), no structure within management or production practice, misogynistic staff members throughtout the entire company with little to no career progression for women, new staff sleeping with senior staff members for job security, they do not reward loyalty or hard work, editorial managers prioritise content abut female celebrities bodies/dogs eating sand/describing viral videos rather than create real journalistic articles, content or topics, blatantly unfair treatment of staff with severe favouritism including some staff retaining their position even after displaying sexual harrasment/behaviour in the workplace and admitting drug abuse publicly, the company bullies colleagues/employees into silece with threats of lawsuits and career destroying (terrified of posting this as there will be serious repercussions but people need to know the truth), incredibly rude when (if!) communicating, senior management ignore emails and deem certain staff members too lowly to speak or listen to, no give/take, feels like a dictatorship with no room for discussion, job shuffling every few months but not updating contracts, changing job descriptions midway through employment (several times) without any discussion, option or reasoning, not compensatiting for extra time/effort/job responsibilities even after promising to do so, asks staff to drive/travel across country/world for work-related events but will/does not sub travel expense nor their time, no creative support, one filming kit shared by the entire company so it's never availabe amd it's impossible to book shoots in, no budget for original content (they seem to prefer to buy from other outlets nowadays) no company benefits whatsoever (other than an app and a 5% gym discount...), no work/life balance (you are on call to deal with issues 24/7 regardless of your role), enormously underpaid ground-staff and ridiculously overpaid senior management, no values whatsoever despite vehemently arguing that the company is 'different', that they care about mental health (staff often depressed, suicidal or anxiety ridden) and animal rights ( Ask them about what happened with the 'office dog')... there is almost no saving this place under its current management. So dissapointed with the last few months there, it's been a heartbreaking change.

Pros

From the very first day of my employment, I was greeted with a warm welcome. The company are keen for you to absorb the history and core values of the brand, but also encourage you to have the initiative to make the job your own. In the 6 months I have been here, I have been able to work on a lot of exciting projects (such as our documentaries) and have even been able to really make my mark on future changes in the company. There are lots of perks to being part of the company and they are always conscious of you having a good work balance. We currently have a number of perks such as free nail manicures, massages, yoga classes, meditation etc. We also have an 'official' social every month which is always great fun but more socials are always in between as the teams enjoy spending time with each other outside of work. All round an amazing company to work for and such a great bunch of people to work with.

Cons

Processes could be stricter however these are being implemented and are taking affect.

Pros

-A really friendly working environment which was very welcoming from the start. Everyone is very friendly and always happy to help. It feels like a group of friends all working together which is really lovely and encouraging, meaning it was easy to make friends quickly. -There is also a great work/life balance and social side to the company with monthly meetings and drinks, benefits like free massages/manicures, yoga sessions and meditation. As long as you do the work well and get it done on time, there is flexibility which adds to the great environment. -Departments work and communicate together well allowing work to be done effectively. It is a fast pace and dynamic business so lots of exciting stuff going on and always a good laugh. -Senior management are very involved with daily business runnings

Cons

-I was not here long enough (2 months) to really see any downsides to the company. I know staff would like more company socials but I guess that's no surprise!
