Pros

I worked with an amazing group of people during my time there. All of us were from different backgrounds both culturally and with regards to our majors.

Cons

Our manager was a bit short-tempered and got easily frustrated at times. Pretty short break times only enough to have a quick bite to eat but God help you if you didn't bring your own food and had to buy stuff from the various eateries around the area. Upper management of the store did change after I left so I hope it is a bit better for the students now.

Pros

Flexible scheduling, sometimes understanding of school situations

Cons

Employees are referred to as "kids" or "students/student workers" but aren't allowed to do homework or (ironically) read. Store loses business after the first month, store will be completely empty, but managemen would still rather you do nothing then do homework (despite this being an on campus job). Management is constantly on top of you for every little thing you did or may do wrong. Upper management constantly emails bosses about every wrong clothing item you wear or every time you are seen standing and doing nothing. Never allowed to sit, even when store is empty, but can't stand and do nothing. Can't even stand at the register, always to find something to do which entails obsessive daily cleaning or meaningless tasks like picking up scraps of paper from the entire floor. And worse? Pay is less than minimum wage at $8.50. Not worth it.
