Pros
I absolutely loved my time working as the Financial Wellness Peer! This was my first "office job," and it taught me so much—from recording meeting minutes to building a marketing and events slate, and even running a booth during events. Hey, it also never hurts to learn more about financial literacy and how to make every penny count, right? There are so many lessons you pick up along the way that might feel unrelated to your future at the time but end up being incredibly valuable. The skills and experiences I gained here have truly carried me to where I am today. I had a wonderful manager, and the Director of Financial Aid was always supportive, helping me grow both professionally and personally. I genuinely miss my time working here and only wish the best for any future student who joins the Financial Literacy family.
Cons
There are definitely many 'hats' you need to wear, but my manager always supported me and provided guidance whenever I asked!
