Pros
- Great benefits & 401k Match - Tremendous experience, you will learn everything about the industry - Overall great culture - Great extracurriculars (Christmas Parties, Quarterly Meetings, Annual Dinners, Etc. ) - Working on some of the coolest projects (Stadiums, High-rises, Hospitals, etc.) - Decent merit salary increases and bonuses - Job flexibility between departments (you can switch from Construction Management to Cost or procurement if you wanted to). - VERY diverse and inclusive.
Cons
- Slightly below average base pay - Little to no work life balance, very very long hours - Some managers are very old school and have a "you will get nothing and like it" attitude - Hard work is not often rewarded, it seems the harder you work the more responsibility you are given without any additional compensation. You will often hear the term "Drink the Turner Koolaid" which is a way of describing how upper management may try to brain wash you into thinking Turner is the best there is and the best place to work. - Very high stress environment - Very difficult to get promoted - It seems many people leave turner for better opportunities, it's easy to get forgotten if you are not a brown-nose to upper management.
