Pros
If You have the proper Business Banker you can get a lot of things done for you. As far as promotions, or even small accommodations as in PTO. However, one may be able to promote within the company.
Cons
Unfortunately, many more cons than pros. Some of the Business Bankers and Higher Management really do not promote within causing many people to leave and go on to better things. Trustco hires some of the incredible people who may make one wonder "how did this person get this job?" Management sucks, they have favoritism, and lack discipline to those of their favorites or superiors. Branch Administration is the worst, some simple tasks takes them a century to get done. It is a joke, oh and guys this is an AT-WILL Company meaning they can fire you for no absolute reason so yeah, be wise. And be careful what Branch you get or the Business Banker, you will know off the vibes and attitudes, This company is very cut throat and many do not want to see you succeed than their favorite superiors.
