Pros

Can work independently, moderate base pay, promoting clean energy etc. Try to work during the warmer months so not to deal with winter elements/shorter days.

Cons

EVERYTHING ELSE: The only function of the job is to go door-to-door and convince homeowners to signup for a consultation. That's it! You can ONLY CONFIRM at their house. There is no other method to communicate with candidates that would otherwise allow us to develop more leads. Also no reimbursement on mileage, they make you download several apps that drain your battery. If your phone dies or you don't have service you literally cannot do your job. What is most unforgivable is the miscommunication from management. Reminder that most towns require a permit to knock doors. More than once management sent me to a town where cops were called on them and warned not to conduct outreach again without a permit. As a result I had numerous encounters with angry homeowners who called the cops which made it impossible to perform my duties.

Pros

Great people, caring upper management, fun meetings, good coworkers, great work environment, uncapped commission potential, base salary, full health, dental, vision, variety of optional insurances, 401k with large company match, actually helping people save money, helping the planet.

Cons

Inter-department communication, slow company-wide decision making, bad apples have forced upper management to make decisions that feel like tight leash on entry level reps.
