Pros
- it is smaller/therapist owned company which in my experience has been much better than previous larger company positions. -Great co-workers with an overall friendly vibe. -Relatively good flexibility and autonomy over schedule. Your cancels/openings will not be filled unless it's by you. -Good support with monthly meetings and access to many resources and materials. -Opportunities for free CEU courses.
Cons
-Poor PTO accrual rate. The current system requires a minimum of billed hours. However, some weeks it seems that everything possible gets in the way of this (client sickness, school holidays, no-shows, etc.) -Holidays are paid out at 6 hours, when in reality that is a pretty low day if you only bill 6 hours. Holidays should be reimbursed as 7-8 hours. -If you are in the community- they no longer offer CTO so weather related closures and school holidays can really screw you over in the long run. When they stopped offering this the general PTO accrual rate did not increase which does not seem totally fair. -No reimbursement for any documentation. If you don't build breaks into your schedule, you will take work home.
