I can’t think of any cons.

Getting to see the clients/kids improve is very rewarding.

In what is assumed to be an effort to maintain a high level of professionalism, strong (and typically not problematic) bonds between clients and techs are routinely broken and new pairings are set - repeatedly interrupting hard-won progress. Office environment can be isolating. Those in positions above the BTs can display "high-school clique" behavior that is distracting and segregating. Overall impression is that they need good employees, but don't hesitate to dump them in favor of a new person who won't ask questions or rock the boat.
