Pros
With the constant turnover it’s not difficult to get promoted if you stick around. WFH can be nice but it’s tough to get to know your colleagues and a lot of companies offer WFH nowadays
Cons
There are too many to list. The biggest one is the management team is horrible. Most of them have fancy degrees but they were washouts from their previous companies. Now they try to pretend they’re so much better than everyone else that works here. Probably due to being treated that way at their last job. You essentially have to be a cult follower to succeed at Toptal. A lot of employees pretend this is an elite company but many of us know no one would ever work here if they had an offer from an actual good company. It’s hard to say whether Toptal will even exist in a few years. There are so many similar companies. Toptal has tried suing several of them. This has resulted in embarrassing PR for the firm because our claim is so frivolous.
