Pros

I enjoyed helping families and students achieve their academic goals including getting into top schools. There were many opportunities to work directly with clients. You get to know some incredibly high net worth families and make excellent connections for life. The team is agile, dedicated, and very friendly to work with overall. Never seen more intelligent, smart teachers within one company.

Cons

Pressure can be intense, expectations are high.

Pros

A great place to work. The one-star reviews are false

Cons

There are not many downsides, other than the fact tutoring is full time.

Pros

The reviews I've read are not true. In fact, they have more than 500 people nationwide now so it's not surprising that a small handful are that way. I've been at this company for more than a year, and the only people who don't make it are those who are too focused on office politics and not on completing goals and accomplishing solid project results. TTP is completely professional and cares about employees. In fact, because they hire many out of college or recent graduates, it's tough to keep people on board without hand holding. They offered me a position that included benefits, IRA, and a 401k contribution. I find it comical to read the reviews from some people who were there for months. Today's economy requires equal parts hard work and selfless dedication. I'm glad I was accepted to be part of this team and look forward to a bright future here. I've had a very positive experience here an know that the hundreds of tutors around the country enjoy making more than standard rates working with awesome families.

Cons

The commute/walk from Tenleytown Red line, but at least get a bit of exercise on walk. The transportation is non-existent in places like Georgetown where this office is near.
