Pros
This company has a lot to offer those starting out their careers. This is a great incubator for those looking for better things out of their career.
Cons
Where to start: This company has too many "#squads" (to steal from another review). There's the internal "Boys club" that has been mentioned here several times, and if you're not in it - you don't matter. Same goes for each department. There are those in and those out. Once you're out that's it. Might as well find another job. The communication around the company goals and objectives are always changing, leaving everyone in suspense. Everyone in Sales (Excuse me "Accounts") is fed up with not getting a consistent comp plan ON TIME. And having their commissions halved by other internal departments for creating a deck. The production team is overworked, and is the largest point of failure at the company. With longer and longer production timelines, you let down the community and the brand you're working with. Don't get me started on "The Tongies" - it's just an excuse for the "Boys Club" to invite some big wigs to their party. Supposedly "It's about the community" - NO it's about showing off. Take that money you spend and put it back into your company and innovate. Speaking of innovation - Tongal isn't doing much on this end. "Crowdsourcing" is something that can easily be recreated elsewhere. Hint - The Ad Age article about "Victors and Spoils", or Flare Studios from BBDO. The only thing that Tongal has that is anything of value, is the technology that their platform is built on top of, but that doesn't help you if you're looking to be an employee working here now does it.
