The people who work in the studio / shop are lovely. Some of the management were trying to make changes but fighting against a strong current.
Cons
Everything is micro managed by an admin team who are afraid of what the artist/boss or support staff might say or do. The artist is unpredictable and one moment might say ‘send this for repair at xxx’ then the next moment yell at you and complain to management that you did exactly what he said to do. Then you’ll have a meeting with three people about why you did what he told you to do. At least one of these meetings will result in someone telling you not to do what the boss tells you to do. The other two meetings will tell you to request meetings with people to discuss whether you should do the things the boss tells you to do. Within these meetings some of the staff will chastise you and some will empathize with you. This cycle happens regularly over small every day things and substantially planned projects. When you complain to management that the expectations of the role are un realistic and not possible to be met they don't care. Overall it’s hard to find any satisfaction in the job because you’re basically set up to fail no matter what you do.
