They make you fill out a weekly time card but you’re not allowed to submit your ACTUAL hours which often times is 40-50% more than the 40 hours per week that they limit you to (just try putting in your actual hours and they will reject it). Work/life balance is awful. Even the pressure to be onsite during Covid 19 outbreak has been constant which is totally irresponsible. You’ll be under a constant microscope now that they’ve implemented Salesforce. Boiler room style sales environment with little to no emphasis on the outcome or quality of customer experience after the sale. They also use the cheapest subcontractors which always results in problems. You will be trained to use gimmicks and vagaries to sell. Problems meeting deadlines from construction. Doesn’t finish homes properly because Division Pres is more focused on closings for fiscal “Year End” (October 31) and his personal bonus than anything else which leads to constant customer backlash. Quarterly project reviews are a mostly a waste of time as division heads already have all the answers (just ask them) and just pretend to take feedback into consideration. Pressure to promote the company in free time, and use your personal social media to promote the company at all times. Growth is limited and capped. Upper mgmt will mislead new recruits regarding functions and financial opportunities available. Upper mgmt does not react quickly to customer issues which often times makes the job unbearable. Reviews and awards advertised to the public are not accurate representation of actual outcomes for most customers. Be ready for lots of politics. Male dominated company which limits opportunity. Also the company has a HIGH annual turnover rate despite what they will publicly advertise. Lots of nepotism at the top positions in the Division despite policies against it. Not sure if HR is really there for the employee or just in place to meet some type of corporate compliance. Employees work in fear of losing their job.
