Pros
Toast was an amazing company to work for. The pay and benefits were competitive, the product is the best of its kind on the market, and the culture is awesome. Everyone touts "culture" as a selling point for their company, but Toast puts their money where their mouth is. The company values are felt and modeled from the top down. DEI efforts abound, mental health and work-life-family balance are a priority, and it doesn't feel like anyone is a peon — everyone is a valuable part of the equation and is treated with respect. I love a company with a good-ideas-can-come-from-anywhere mentality, where leadership doesn't feel totally disconnected or removed from the day-to-day operations. I truly cherish my time at Toast and am a better employee, manager, and person for having worked there.
Cons
I didn't actually view this as a con, but low-performing sales rep didn't stick around long. If you weren't hitting goal, there were tons of resources and hands-on mentorship at your disposal to get back to where you needed to be, which is why I felt it was fair that people who missed attainment more than a couple months in a row were usually managed out.
