Pros
Tnemec has a laid back atmosphere which is really nice. As long as you do your work that you are asked of then there isn't any problems. As any company expects. For the most part everyone is nice and easy to work with. The company has a family type feel to it despite being around 500 employees and growing. Most managers seem to not micro manage and are for the most part easy to approach. Pay is better than most. Can't speak for every department though. Work/Life balance is pretty good. 4:30 hits and people leave. It's odd to stay past 5 I would say. You are not expected to work 80 hours a week. Everyone has good opinions of the CEO Chase Bean.
Cons
Tnemec is tucked away in NKC. Depending on where you live, there can be a long commute. Very little in the way of good places to eat with out a decent drive somewhere. Office is crazy cold. Everywhere you walk you will hear the sound of space heaters running nonstop. Have to run one year round. Do wish the benefits were a little cheaper, but sadly it's on par with most companies. Not much social interaction. Office layout and cubes make it hard to visit and talk. Not much initiative for social events. Office is stuck in the 90's. Old looking carpet, cubes and decor throughout. Building is paid for but, something a little more up to date would be nicer. Everyone here smokes like a chimney and outside of the break room too. Hard to say a lot bad, especially after all the bad managers and companies I have worked for.
