Pros

This is honestly one of the most humble caring places I've worked for everyone is so supportive from managers to people that work in the office, colleagues etc. The children are the centre of the care but this company also values the staff and make sure they feel there supported which i do. There's so many fun opportunities to push yourself forward in your carer but also memories you'll make for life with the children.

Cons

Any cons in the company are already thought off and supported is offered

Pros

- Working as a therapeutic carer at Timeout Homes is deeply rewarding, knowing you’re providing a nurturing environment to help children heal from trauma. - The Secure Base Approach and extensive training ensure you feel equipped to make a positive impact and confident in your practice. - The role offers variety, including meeting children’s needs, managing domestic responsibilities, and maintaining detailed documentation to support their progress. - The company fosters a close-knit, supportive atmosphere, where you feel valued and backed by the management, team, and clinical professionals. - Helping children create positive experiences and memories is the most fulfilling aspect of the role, leaving you with a sense of accomplishment after each shift. - The 48-hour shift pattern followed by four days off suits certain lifestyles, making it a pro for work-life balance. - There is a clear progression route, with strong support for career development and advancement within the company.

Cons

- Occasionally, you may be asked to cover at an unfamiliar home on short notice, which can be challenging but offers an opportunity to support children across the company. - Some children’s behaviours can be challenging to manage due to their trauma, but the Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training equips you to handle these situations effectively. - Staff turnover can be an issue, which impacts team stability at times.

Pros

Front line staff are mostly amazing It has the potential to be a great job Training is good

Cons

Family run business that profits from children in care. Some senior decision makers are inexperienced and their expectations are unfair and unrealistic. They do not understand the realities of the work. Heavy handed use of disciplinary processes.
