Pros
There is an initial novelty to working for what is largely perceived as an American icon. That quickly gives way to the unpleasant reality of working for what has become another big (in this case, blue) box corporate retailer. The benefits are very good and the discount is on par with industry standards and there are a few really great people in the company: but that's true with ANY company. The only really good thing about working for Tiffany & Co is being able to tell people who don't know any better that you work for the legendary jeweler. The fantasy works well if you don't work for the fantasy.
Cons
There's nothing luxurious about Tiffany's anymore: much of what we sell caters to the "luxury" fantasies of middle-income people who want to emulate lifestyles they can't afford. Middle management is largely incompetent and spends most of their time trying to look busy. Micromanagement is a huge problem. Morale among other "sales professionals" is low and competition often turns ugly. The managers and HR department in NY are useless and uncommunicative. It takes a lot to get anything done. The CFC (where orders are from to go to customers) is constantly late on delivering things on-time. The quality of much of the silver jewelry is really bad. Most of the problem lies in the stores with the managers.
