Pros

Remote working allows for flexibility Bright and sharp colleagues

Cons

President is highly focused on giving back to the community but isn't focusing on giving back to the team. For the past year, Exec. Leadership has been dangling the prospect of updates to compensation for each role, however, nothing has changed. The profit share bonus is not worth noting, Management says "set your expectations low and hope for a bit more than that". Extreme focus is placed on the growth of the core service team (SEO), however, supplemental service teams are not supported, hardly given any attention by Leadership, and are expected to hustle as if it were their own company (many of these teams are no more than 1 or 2 people).

Thank you for your honesty. I am sorry that you feel like your experience here at Thrive was not a positive one. Feedback is a blessing and we certainly will elevate your concerns. Our compensation strategy includes multiple facets of what makes Thrive one of the best agencies in the world to work for. We recently hired a new Controller who already is putting the wheels in motion to address some of what you outlined in your review. The way in which we work and the way in which we deliver results to our clients is our top priority. Thank you for voicing your concerns and we look forward to making some corrections and improvements in the new year. We are committed to our employees and to making this a better agency!

Pros

I've really enjoyed my experience working here. The team is supportive, leadership is approachable, and there are plenty of opportunities to learn and grow. The collaborative and supportive culture makes it a great place to work, and they are quick to recognize accomplishments small and big.

Cons

This company is made up of 95% remote workers in several different time zones. While that does have it's advantages it also creates natural barriers in communication and sets back working relationships

Thank you for writing this review. It truly is a great place to work and our six core values are the foundation of how we come to our desk each day. We do have to work extra hard to keep our relationships with our teammates fresh and supportive. I am glad that you have felt your first year at Thrive has been a good one!

Pros

The biggest strength at Thrive is the people behind the scenes making the magic happen. This is one of the few agencies I’ve worked at where teams genuinely step up for each other. When one department is slammed or understaffed, another department doesn’t point fingers, they pick up the slack. That kind of support is real, and you feel it. This past year especially made that clear. During periods of change and simplification, teams rallied instead of retreating. People leaned in, communicated more, and stayed focused on the bigger picture rather than just their individual lanes. There’s a shared belief that there’s something special about this brand and the people here, and that belief shows up when it matters. Leadership is accessible and human. There’s transparency, collaboration, and a genuine effort to improve processes instead of pretending everything is perfect. Wins are celebrated, challenges are talked through, and no one acts like they have all the answers. Also worth noting, work-life balance is respected. You’re trusted to do your job without being micromanaged, which makes a huge difference in morale and longevity. Thrive is a place where people care about the work, the clients, and each other. If you want to be part of a team that actually shows up when things get hard and doesn’t lose sight of what makes the company special, this is a great place to be.

Cons

Because the company is growing and evolving, change is constant. If you need everything to stay exactly the same forever, this might feel uncomfortable. If you’re adaptable, it’s actually a plus.

Thank you for taking the time to share this. Feedback like this means a great deal to us, especially coming from someone who has been part of Thrive for so many years. What you described about teams stepping up for one another is exactly the culture we work hard to protect. Especially over the past year, it has been encouraging to see people lean in, communicate well, and stay focused on the bigger picture. We also appreciate your comments about accessible leadership, transparency, and trust. We believe honest conversations, celebrating wins, and respecting work-life balance are essential to long-term success. Thank you for your commitment to Thrive and for being part of what makes this place special.
