Pros
Aside from the endless free ice cream, this job really helped me gain insight into marketing and sales psychology better than what I was learning in business school. As someone starting a business now, the experiences beyond sampling ice cream in stores and selling it at concerts really prove to be beneficial. My coworkers were phenomenal and supportive, and we really felt like our work was meaningful.
I frequently incorporated the company into projects for school, which was great because they were very cooperative and enthusiastic. I enjoyed the overlap this job allowed with my student life. And having only moved to the area for school, this job allowed me to explore the greater metropolitan area which was an advantage I hadn't realized when applying.
Cons
Because the company is based in San Francisco, people in my region in Seattle felt alienated at times. We didn't know anyone else in the company, despite its culture of being close-knit and familial.
