      Excellent, fast paced environment with many opportunities - Solution Engineer Threat Stack Employee Review

      Pros

      Threat Stack cares extensively about its people and prides itself on transparency from the C Suite and Director level which I have never seen this before. Department heads regularly provide open office hours(including the CEO!) to give updates on our various engineering, marketing, sales, and professional services efforts. This fosters an environment of collaboration and innovation which is more important than ever given the impact of Covid-19 on in house communication. There are many opportunities to get exposed to other departments, whether it be getting involved in customer success or engineering and your career here is what you make of it, as well as what you put in. I feel 100% in charge of my own success here with nothing in the way.

      Cons

      Its a startup, things are fast paced and you are expected to honor your commitments and meet your promises. If you are not flexible wearing multiple hats or adapting on the fly this would not be a good fit.

      - Great location right next to the Downtown Crossing T stop - Free snacks, weekly catered lunches - Individual Contributors are a pleasure to work with. If you choose to pursue a career here, chances are you'll get along well with your team mates - Chance to travel to different Expos throughout the year - Senior Management go out of their way to interact directly with employees

      Cons

      - Make sure you negotiate your offer well. Management continuously fails to fulfill career promises, rescinding expectations made (going as far back as during the hiring process) on multiple occasions - A lot of green and weak management. Chances are - regardless of your position - you'll hear about political drama - Leadership focus during my tenure has been heavily sales oriented. As a result, Product has suffered and innovations are slow - resulting in a number of increasingly unhappy customers
