- when execs ask for feedback, and people are honest, they gaslight the folks giving feedback to minimize and dismiss the issues raised.
- the week between Christmas and New Year's used to be company wide time off. Now it has to be approved by management. There were clearly some executives who wanted this to happen because they couldn't stand giving the whole team time off at once. See burnout comment above.
- impulsive and reactive CEO. Fire drills every week that derail current projects. Downstream, we get harpooned by our direct C-level for not meeting deadlines. Other items have to be deprioritized in order to accommodate his urgent requests; there's no way around this.
