Hi,
Hello again, however long ago you left us!
We're not sure whether you were based in our London or New York offices, but in either case, some things may have changed since you were with us.
2017 was our best ever year – we won awards, which helped provide greater credibility for our company. We won the Great Place to Work award in the UK for the fourth year running and in Greater China for the third year running, The Sunday Times Fast Track Award, for being one of the top 100 private British companies with the fastest-growing sales over the last three years – moving up 10 places from last year, and finally, we were recognised in the 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain list. In general we started to get quite a few things working that we’d been trying to get working for a while (and were probably trying to get working when you were here).
We have reviewed salaries and we have looked at ways of generating an air of solidarity amongst the team. Quality of conversations increased, job satisfaction rose and consistency of success rose – we wish we’d done it before – and we certainly wish we’d done it in your time given the impact it clearly had on your view.
Your work does have a serious purpose and does add value to many industries because you are making a positive impact on many people’s lives through the work you are doing to provide informed decisions to companies and individuals who make investments. The job itself does require an analytical and logical mindset and presents a variety of research objectives requiring critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills. All analysts are required to master a client relationship workflow while developing business acumen, time-management skills, professionalism, and communication skills.
We still do have a culture of wanting our analysts to hit targets, but we're not aware of a circumstance and would hope that we’d never lost someone after only one poor month – especially not if there were plenty of other people missing that month. Targets should always be viewed in the context of overall performance and the specific circumstances of the individual.
Feel free to contact us at theteam@thirdbridge.com if you want to discuss more…thanks for taking the time to post. Wishing you all the best for your career.
Best
